WHY WE GIVE
The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.

Greater Life Church holds a commitment to be a beacon of light in our community, and to lead others to a greater way of life! In this critical season for our ministry, we need you MORE THAN EVER! In order for the vision that God has for Greater Life Church to come to fruition, we need to enter into a season of sacrificial giving! Consider the example of the widow in Mark 12:41-44 ESV…..

41 And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. 43 And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

God makes it very clear in His Word that He honors those that give out of their place of lack, with a cheerful heart (2 Corinthians 9:7)….and promises us that we will receive according to WHAT and HOW we give (Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6; Malachi 3:8-12).
