MEET OUR PASTOR & LEAD SERVANT - NATE STEWART

Pastor Nate Stewart, a native of Macon, Georgia, answered his call to full-time ministry in 1997. With over 20+ years of ministry experience, he has traveled across the United States conducting revivals, workshops, and seminars, and has even shared the Gospel internationally in both Haiti and Jamaica.

In 2017, while serving as the Executive Pastor for the House of Hope Atlanta and the House of Hope Macon, Pastor Nate received an unexpected call from the Lord to serve as Senior Pastor of Greater Life Church in San Diego. After much prayer and hesitation, he accepted the call, relocating with his wife and son to become the church’s third pastor in its then 45-year history.

Under Pastor Nate’s leadership, Greater Life Church flourished spiritually and numerically, prompting the need for expanded facilities. In October 2022, he led the acquisition of a $3.8 million, four-acre campus in Lemon Grove, featuring a 500-seat sanctuary, fellowship hall, preschool, and youth building. By the end of 2024—just two short years after settling into the new campus—the church officially purchased the Glebe property. Today, Greater Life Church sees around 500 people weekly on average and has grown to over 1,000 partners, making it one of the fastest-growing, multicultural, and multigenerational churches in San Diego and a beacon of hope in the community.

Beyond his impactful work at Greater Life, Pastor Nate is the founder and host of The Faith Room, a transformative web series reaching over 20,000 people monthly. He has also been bestowed the honor of receiving the San Diego Pastor of the Year Award in 2019 and the Shepherd Award in 2024.

Pastor Nate is deeply committed to serving his community. He officiates funerals for individuals without pastoral leadership, serves on the Black Advisory Board for San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, and is a former member of the NAACP San Diego Branch.

With a passion for ministry development, Pastor Nate authored the best-selling book, The Servant’s Playbook: Survival Strategies for Success in the Support Chair and mentors pastors nationwide.
